Ask owners for their exit plan and almost all of them say the same thing: the business is the plan. Very few can tell you who buys it, for how much, or on what terms.
We've watched owners build companies worth seven figures and lose the value in the structure. An earnout they couldn't hit. A price resting on goodwill a buyer could talk down.
Back 9 builds the exit into the business from the first conversation, so the day you sell is a decision, not a rescue.
01
Our monthly fee is set so you have real buy-in, not so we can bill you forever. Our upside is you becoming an investor, with us or alongside us.
02
No script readers. In Investor's Corner you work with Antwann one on one. At The Roundtable, his team sits with your table directly.

Most consultants leave you a list and a bigger budget. At The Roundtable, the team that makes the recommendation does much of the work, so the money you'd spend on outside firms stays in the business.
Who sits where
We publish the criteria because owners deserve to know where they stand. Meeting the numbers starts the conversation. It doesn't end it.
Founder
Antwann Richardson learned business from the lender's side of the table at Regions and Wells Fargo, then left to run companies instead of underwriting them. He has helped grow an organization from under $1 million to more than $40 million in annual revenue, bought and sold companies of his own, and sold, managed, and controlled more than $250 million in real estate transactions.
Back 9 helps business owners grow past the point where they're stuck, build a business that runs without them, and turn the profit and time it frees up into passive income. We work in three rooms: Access, The Roundtable, and Investor's Corner.
Consultants hand you recommendations and a bigger budget to carry them out. At Back 9, the team that makes the recommendation can do much of the work, so you are not paying an outside firm to finish it. And because Back 9 is a fund, we do best when you outgrow us and become an investor.
A real business, usually $1 million or more in revenue with a team on payroll. Every seat is by application, and meeting the numbers starts the conversation rather than ending it.
Invitations come through relationship. Most begin at The Roundtable or through the placement application. When the placement points there, a member of the Back 9 leadership team contacts you personally within 24 hours.
Yes. We plan the exit with you from the start: deal structure, earnouts and goodwill, and the right buyer. Because Back 9 is a fund, the right buyer is sometimes us.
Back 9 is based in Mississippi and works with owners nationwide, with members joining in person and remotely from across the country.
